Witnessing - A Reason For My Life

"Methods of Witnessing - How?"
Proverbs 11:30

1. Four Requirements To Be A Witness: (Review)
A. Be Humble - God blesses humility more than any other thing.
B. Be Submitted to the Holy Spirit - Depend on Him to open doors.
C. Be Prayerful - Only a heart prepared can see the needs.
D. Be Yourself - God created you to witness just like you are.

2. Six Methods of Witnessing - Find Your Fit (Continued)
D. Live It Out - Relational (Mark 5)
1. Jesus told the converted man to live out his new faith before his family.
2. In verse 19 Jesus told him to look across the room not around the world for his opportunity to witness.
3. The main requirement for this type of witnessing is that you live a life that shows Christ above all else.
4. Look for the opportunities near you, then take advantage of them.
E. "Come and Hear" - Invitational (John 4)
1. If you are having a hard time starting to witness this is a good place to start.
2. The woman at the well did nothing but invite people to come and hear.
3. Look for special opportunities to invite people to; so that they can come and hear.
4. Even an invitation is easy to give someone.
F. "How Can I Help?" Serving (Acts 9)
1. Sometimes lost people are watching for someone to offer help like Christ did instead of giving a sermon.
2. God uses acts of kindness more than he uses sermons or anything else.
3. The world will come to hear anyone who helps them in any way.
4. Kindness is granted from the heart and ministers in a way that nothing else can.
3. One Size Does Not Fit All
God made us all different and above all else He wants to use us that way. Don't try to fit into something that you can't. Be yourself as you are being a witness.
