Teacher's Corner Bible Studies

Introduction

Psalm 86:11
Teach me your way, O LORD,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart
to revere your name.

Some time ago, after serious thought and intense prayer, I set the following as my life's mission statement: TO DEVOTE MY LIFE TO DEVELOPING OTHERS. Since doing this, I have focused much of my time and effort towards this end. Therefore, it is with this in mind that I share the following material with you. The majority of this material comes from lessons that I have taught, papers that I have written, and personal studies that I have done. I can think of no greater way to help develop others than placing what I have learned-both as a teacher and a student of Scripture-where anyone in the world with Internet access can read it. It is my deepest hope and passionate prayer that I am able to help you grow in your understanding of the Bible and, more importantly, conform to the image of Christ.

Due to the nature and subject matter of each lesson-not to mention the many hours and sometimes many days that went into study, preparation, and writing-I would not classify most of what you will find here as "easy" or "light" reading. However, I truly believe that those who are serious in their pursuit of the truth of God's Word will be richly blessed as they take the time needed to read through and study this material. On the other hand, I also believe, just as strongly, that those who are not genuinely seeking a closer walk with the Lord will find what is written here to be tedious and possibly offensive. In conclusion, I would encourage you to investigate for yourself as to whether or not what I say is actually truth. Be like the Bereans of Acts 17:11 who, "were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Don't blindly take what I say as truth, even though I have worked hard to write each lesson without error, search the Scriptures for yourself and see what you find. Even though you may not always agree with everything that I have to say, this does not negate the fact that it is still possible to learn something despite the situation.

May God richly bless your studies
